Description

Diese Manpu Gama Yakishime Sake Schale mit Kintsugi stammt aus dem letzten Anagama-Holzbrand der Werkstatt, der nur alle zwei Jahre stattfindet.

The guinomi’s distinctive form has a reassuring weight in the hand, while its softly rounded shape makes it comfortable to hold. The predominantly smooth surface gives way to areas of subtle roughness, adding a tactile dimension to the piece.

Fire and ash have left a strong imprint on this Yakishime guinomi. Natural ash envelops the cup, building up most intensely across the front. In places, it has fused into a glass-like surface with subtle green tones, while a striking burst of yellow ash marks the front.

Inside, the ash glaze follows the movement of the wheel-thrown form. A small notch along the rim has been enhanced with Kintsugi. On the underside, the signature “Man” and the marks left by the three firing supports remain visible.

Capacity: approx. 40 – 50 ml
