Born in Bizen, Japan, Ishida Kazuya explores the dynamic energy of nature through his ceramics. Inspired by spiral-shaped marine organisms, his innovative “Rahō” style lends each work a unique sense of movement, firmly grounded in the rich ceramic tradition of Bizen.

NATURE IN MOTION:
INTENSIVE CERAMIC WORKSHOP WITH ISHIDA KAZUYA
As part of the exhibition Nature in Motion, Ishida Kazuya will lead a pottery workshop.
This intensive two-day wheel-throwing workshop, held on 10–11 May at WerkBox3 in the Kreativquartier at Leonrodplatz, offers participants the opportunity to explore the distinctive techniques of Ishida Kazuya’s Rahō style under the artist’s personal guidance.
