FORM - MATTER - FIRE
JAPAN & BAVARIA IN DIALOGUE

EXHIBITION 11.06 - 18.06.2025
Japanese Ceramics and Craftsmanship - Japan Dult November 2024

The three Bavarian ceramic artists Benedikt Hipp, Rupert Grottenthaler and Jochen Rüth, each with a distinctive artistic voice, engage in a close exchange and dialogue with the traditions of Japanese ceramics. Their diverse approaches – ranging from traditional techniques to contemporary experimentation – reflect a shared commitment: a dedication to the material, a fascination with the transformative power of fire, and an enduring inspiration drawn from Japanese aesthetics and craftsmanship.
The exhibition FORM – MATTER – FIRE explores how these elements converge in their work, creating a unique dialogue between Bavarian and Japanese ceramic art.

Pförtnerhäuschen at the WerkBox3
